Tomorrow’s Opportunities Today

Today I went into my favorite farm stand. They have a good thing going; they have some of the best produce year round and the presentation of their fresh vegetables, flowers, and bakery goods is fantastic. While it costs more to shop there, it seems worth it…unless, of course, my checkbook is low and I feel like it’s a Market Basket week.

Lately, many folks are choosing the big box grocery stores (like Market Basket) over the nicer, fresh vegetable stores because of the money savings. This means that the fancy vegetable stores have to work three times harder to make their customers realize how important it is to bypass the vegetables at Market Basket in favor of the fresher vegetables at their stores.

I don’t know anyone who is happy about the current economic situation. Furthermore, I can’t think of many people who are benefiting from all of this.

But, I do know one thing; sliding sales and reduced revenue have been the catalyst for many companies to take a hard look at their business. This is the silver lining a time of recession.

Many of our clients who have enlisted our help with analyzing their audience and how to speak to them, are finding there are logical ways to outsmart their competition. Even though these changes come from necessity, there is no better time than now to reinvent yourself to become more appealing to your audience.
